Bachelorette Party!

As you all know if you read my first blog, my sister is getting married in, oh my, about forty days. So although the bride-to-be is not supposed to have much involvement in the planning of the bachelorette party, my sister told us exactly what she wanted to do. Good thing she did because I am not good with planning these types of things; I am lucky that I made it through the bridal shower (bride-to-be and bridal party in image). She loves country music she was “tossing around” different ideas, maybe going out to the country bar in Commack, NY, but decided that she just wanted it to be her and her close friends and family at home.

My sister is big into cooking. She loves to create different foods and see what people have to say about her cooking. She also loves to have a good time and dance. She decided on having celebrity DJ Chef Mark Weiss come and do her bachelorette party. Although a little expensive, it is a cheaper alternative to renting a limo and spending the night with strangers in the city or something like that.

It looks like it is going to be a lot of fun and the food he is making sounds very tasty. If you have never heard of DJ Chef check-out this website (http://www.fourstarchef.com/home.html) because I had never heard of him before my sister mentioned him to me. Besides being good-looking, he looks like he will put on a good show for us ladies.

Grammar Point –

Pronouns are used to take the place of a noun. When writing a paragraph and the writer is referring to the same person over and over again, instead of writing the person’s name again and again it is good to replace it with a pronoun.

Edit the Paragraph replacing the nouns with pronouns.

The girl decided to go for a drive around town. Eventually the girl came to a street she did not know. After a while, the girl found a shop that the girl wanted to go into. The girl bought a dress to wear to a party and then the girl began the trip home.

It’s about time! I absolutely love this time of year. Who wouldn’t love the different colors of the fall foliage(image left)? The green, orange, brown, red, and yellow colors of the leaves all are brightening up the ground where we walk. I love driving upstate to all the different harvest fests to experience the changing of the seasons.
There are so many exciting things to do in autumn. In preparation for the upcoming holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving, families enjoy cooking their own desserts for the family get-togethers. In my family, it is a tradition to go apple-picking and get at least three bushels of apples. After apple-picking, we all head back to the house and make an easy two dozen pies and give them out to different family members and friends. Everyone is Getting Married

When girls are young they play dress-up and pretend. As they get older they plan their whole wedding. I was never one of those girls that had their wedding planned before they met the guy they were going to spend the rest of their life with. I think the vision is different depending on the groom, and call me old-fashioned but I think the groom should have some say, it is his day too!
